The 2008 Taste of the Neighborhood moved to Sunday September 14th!

On Sunday, September 14, 2008, from 3 till 7PM, the Highland Park Neighborhood Association will host the second annual Taste of the Neighborhood celebration, and your help is needed! Last year’s event was a tremendous success and this years’ event will build on last years’ accomplishments.
There is a tremendous amount of planning and implementation that goes into this celebration.
Experienced or inexperienced, come one come all! Contribute to your Neighborhood’s possibilities, get out and work with us on putting this together! Whether you cook, you’re a crackerjack accountant, you conduct children’s activities, you teach people stuff, or you love to set up/tear down things, or (insert anything here), we have the work you crave! Then meet the rest of your neighbors on the big day, and you can take some credit for the good time they are having!
For all of you whom have said to themselves “Gee, I should get more involved with my community” stop the one sided conversation and talk to either myself, Matthew Carnevale, Chairman Taste of the Neighborhood 2008, or to Roger Ramsay, Co-Chairman Taste of the Neighborhood 2008.

Nominate a Tree

The Arboretum that Became a Neighborhood: An Exhibit, a Walking Tour and a Celebration.
Do you have a favorite tree or trees in the neighborhood or Highland Park? Celebrate these by telling us about them and sending us a picture. We'll not only show it off, but your contribution will also serve as a nomination for the planned "Walking Tour of the Ellwanger & Barry Arboretum and Highland Park Neighborhood", the production of which is now a goal of your Neighborhood Association.
